Specialty: Rostered Psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing™, Meditation, Mindfulness
Population: Adults, Elders, and Groups
I am a rostered psychotherapist who supports individuals’ important and unique work in the world through science and wisdom traditions. Knowing that there is not a one size fits all approach to health, inspired living, and longevity, I work from a strength-based model that views individuals as having an innate capacity toward empowerment, healing, and connection. I view my role in therapy as that of a guide or consultant.
For more than two decades, I have studied the mind body continuum through yoga and Ayurveda (the traditional medicine of which yoga is a part of), and have offered classes and workshops in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. My background also includes published writing and meditations, ancestral healing and intergenerational trauma, herbal medicine, shamanic studies, Reiki, parenting, and elemental, nature based access to the creative process. I have two years of training in Somatic Experiencing™, a body based approach to working with trauma.
Through Northern Vermont University, I am completing a masters degree in clinical mental health. My approach is grounded, trauma informed, body positive, ecological, and culturally aware. Counseling will create a safe container where you can reclaim your story and access more of yourself and your vitality. Through the counseling process you will gain self knowledge and tools that will enable transformation and continued growth.
